The hacktivist group Anonymous has claimed responsibility for taking down the Atlanta Police Department’s (PD) website, on June 14. The move came in response to the death of Rayshard Brooks, who was killed by the police on Friday, June 12.
Amazon’s controversial face recognition tech Rekognition will not be available to use by law enforcement, the company announced on June 10th. The moratorium is year-long and was reportedly introduced to give regulators time to come up with solid ethical rules of using the tech for policing.
