Sunday Moon: Bitcoin Rises Above $700
Sunday, June 12, 2016, was noteworthy for bitcoin’s skyrocketing. At the moment of writing, the cryptocurrency price has surpassed $700 at exchanges like Huobi and OKCoin.
At the moment of writing, an average price stands for $696.80, according to Coinmarketcap.
Keeping in mind the forthcoming reward halving, Lightning Network integration and overall development of the industry, the cryptocurrency may break yet another record by surpassing $1,000 in a few weeks, some experts say.
However, different exchanges offer astonishingly different prices. Currently, the lowest known price is at BTC-e ($676), and the highest at BX Thailand ($726). Peer-to-peer LocalBitcoins features some $800 orders.

Notably, the price of Ethereum has also risen and now it stands at $16.82, which is about 13.4% higher, than it was yesterday, with market cap comprising more than $1,3 billion.
