DECENT Crowdsale Nears The Finishing Line

DECENT Software Sale, the decentralized content distribution platform’s ICO, has entered its last few days, and this means this week represents the last chance to join the digital revolution and build the true media of the future.

As ForkLog reported earlier, DECENT’s ICO started 11th September, and over the past two months users have been able to purchase DCTs, the platforms own tokens. DCT can be considered the platform’s fuel and will be the exclusive currency for engagement in upcoming DECENT applications, including DECENT Web, DECENT Music, DECENT Books and DECENT Stream.

Recently the company opened offices in Armenia and China, with the former playing a crucial role in designing DECENT Web App, which is not only expected to be the first functioning backend prototype, but the first ever DECENT application as well. Currently, the developers from Yerevan hub are eliminating software issues and bugs to enhance the experience of peer-to-peer transactional way of consumer-author communication. After perfecting the service, DECENT team would be able to transfer Web app under the blockchain protocol and finally make it accessible to public.

Another big news was revealed last month when Canadian entrepreneur and founder of Blockchain News online magazine Richard Kastelein joined DECENT as external advisor. Regarded as a major publisher and voice for the blockchain technology, Richard Kastelein is also a director of a Dutch foundation called The Hackitarians and spent five years in the TV Industry where he helped major broadcasting companies such as the BBC, ABC, Channel 4, CBC, NPO, RTL (DE and NL), Eurosport, NBCU, C4, ITV, Liberty Global, Seven Australia, Foxtel Australia and others with innovation strategy before leaving for the blockchain industry.

As reported earlier, DECENT and Naughty America, one of the major adult content production companies in the USA, agreed to work on a pilot project that will implement progressive Digital Rights Management (DRM) by utilizing the most recent advancements in Blockchain Technology, Digital Video Fingerprinting and Cryptography.
